Betmar
In 1933, despite the fact that America was going through the Great Depression, the hat business was flourishing. One of the companies that had its start around this time was Betmar. Named for its founder, Betty Marks, the company joined up with an old cap-making factory in New York and began to produce Betmar hats for women. They quickly grew and by the 1950s, their stylish women's hats flooded the department stores around the country. Betmar hats combine fashion, function, and craftsmanship into classic and trendy styles that are guaranteed to make a statement. Essential women's hats from Betmar use gorgeous shapes and materials to create feminine and sophisticated style in hats, caps, fascinators, visors, bucket hats, cloches, floppy brim hats, berets, and fedora type hats. Today they are one of the leaders in women's headwear and their hats are sold in over 15 countries around the world.
